Put your walking boots on for BIRD

Peaks-2015-250W-Orange

Have you made a New Year’s resolution this year to eat less, exercise more, or perhaps even to do something wonderful to support your favourite charity?!

If running, cycling and swimming are not your thing, perhaps the TrekFest is for you. A tough, but achievable 13 mile walk in The Peaks. Complete the challenge in 6 hours, either individually, or as part of a team.

Registering couldn’t be easier, just follow the link below to the TrekFest website:

https://regonline.activeeurope.com/Register/Checkin.aspx?EventID=1635615

and start the countdown until the big event! BIRD is registered amongst charities under Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Development.

The walk will take place on Saturday 5th/Sunday 6th September 2015 in The Peak District National Park, Hope Valley – so plenty of time to dust off your walking boots! However, places are limited and booking up quickly, so don’t wait too long to register your place.

If 13 miles sounds like a walk in the park and you’re up for a bigger challenge, TrekFest are also offering a 27 mile route and for the completely senseless, a 54 mile trek! Details of which can be found on their website. For our southern supporters, Trekfest are also holding events in The Brecon Beacons in June.
